OBITUARY

Mark Adrian Cown, age 61, of Monroe, passed away on October 4, 2026, after a lengthy battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). He was born on March 29, 1965, in Loganville, Georgia, where he grew up, and later moved to Dawsonville, Georgia, where he raised his daughters with his wife, Tracy.

Mark enjoyed hunting, being outside, and any and all sports. He was a huge fan of Georgia football and loved spending time with his family. He never met a stranger and was always finding ways to make us laugh. His faith and devotion to the Lord were central to his life. He had a deep love for God's Word and found great joy in teaching and sharing it with others.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Cown; daughters, Abbie and Rachel Cown; mother, Adrian Cown; brother, Mel Cown; in-laws, Greg and Carolyn Carter; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Cown.

A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church Loganville on Saturday, October 10, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Family and friends are invited to stop by to enjoy snacks and refreshments, share stories, and visit with each other.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration at www.theaftd.org.
