Friends & Relatives

I'll never forget the Summer I went on a month long trip out West with the Jaillettes in a station wagon and an 18 ft travel trailer. What an adventure!!! Winkie was with his wife and 2 teenage girls. He had a lot of patience. I don't even remember him getting upset about anything. I'm sure there was plenty. On that trip I realized our family never ate many salads. I remember we walked into Mexico to do a little shopping. Winkie bought a saddle and had to carry it back to the car. Luckily he noticed someone trying to show me something down an ally and he reeled me back in. I was so naive. Thanks for the many memories, Winkie. He was also my bamboo supplier for the random projects I would have. That's when I learned I needed a reciprocating saw. He would usually cut the bamboo for me before I got there. Later, when he wasn't able he would tell me to just go get all I wanted. See, this time I had my own saw. He will be sorely missed. Love you Sally.

I have so many happy memories of times sitting in the warmth of Nan and Winkie’s home visiting when I picked up our son Wright . Nan (and Sally and Winkie) kept him while I worked-from 6 weeks old until we moved from Monroe shortly before his 3rd birthday. We loved this family so much. Distance makes seeing friends difficult, but there are always wonderful memories! Love and prayers for Sally and all of Winkie’s family as you celebrate his life.
