OBITUARY

Steven Michael Peters, Sr, age 67 of Monroe, passed away on August 25, 2026. He was born in Walton County on October 17, 1958 to the late Horace J. Peters and Linda Louise Westmoreland Peters. He was preceded in death by his brother, the late Randall Horace Peters.

Surviving are wife, Cynthia Marie Rice Peters; sons and daughters in law, , Steven Michael Peters, Jr. (Jessica), Matthew Cody Peters (Gentry) ; mother, Linda Louise Peters; sister and brother in law, Lisa Callaway (Tim); grandchildren, Brayden Peters, Bristol Peters, Maddie Lee Peters, and Bella Rose Peters.

A visitation will be held on Thursday August 27th at Meadows Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 28th at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Sorrells officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
