OBITUARY

Jeffrey “Jeff” Neal Pannell, age 64 of Monroe, passed away on June 5, 2026. He was born in Barrow County on February 1, 1962 to Sanford Neal Pannell and Mary Grace White Pannell.

 Surviving are son, Tyler Pannell; daughters, Heather Lemonds, Kaitlyn Brand, and McKenzie Bennett; mother and father, Mary Grace Pannell and Sanford Neal Pannell; brothers, Steve Pannell and Greg Pannell; 7 grandchildren and 1 on the way.

 Jeff will be remembered as a hardworking man who rarely sat still and found joy in being outdoors. Whether he was tending a garden, working on a farm project, casting a fishing line, or caring for animals, he was happiest with his hands busy. Above all, Jeff cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved spending time with them, playing sports, sharing laughs, and creating memories they will carry with them forever. A devoted fan of Georgia Bulldogs football, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved Bulldogs and share that passion with those he loved.

 A visitation will be held on Wednesday June 10th at Meadows Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM on Wednesday June 10th at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mark White officiating. Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
