OBITUARY

Robert “Bob” Coffin,68, of Duluth, GA passed away May 19,2026. Bob was born November 24, 1957 in Augsburg, Germany. He immigrated to the United States and became a citizen April 20, 1971. Bob graduated from William Fremd High School in Pallatine, Illinois in 1977. He moved to Georgia after graduation and started working in hydrology for The US Geological Survey, where he later retired. Bob will be remembered for his love for the water, fishing and the Atlanta Braves.

He was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Gizmo, and his parents, Philip Lawrence Coffin and Maria Coffin. He is survived by his brothers Bruce Philip Coffin (Rhonda) of Loganville, Ga and Ronald William Coffin of Buford, Ga as well as multiple generations of nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held in September in Pittsfield, Maine where he will be laid to rest with his parents.
