OBITUARY

Peggy Jean Powell, age 88 of Social Circle, passed away on May 13, 2026.  She was born on May 21, 1937 in Alexander City, Alabama to the late Birtie Mae Brown Dean and the late Emmett Dean.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Joe Powell; her son, the late Greg Powell; and granddaughter, the late Kelly Powell. 

Surviving are son, Jeff Powell; brothers, Michael White and Neil Dean; grandchildren Shawn & (Angela) Powell, Brent & (Melinda) Powell, Chance & (Taylor) Powell, Clint & (Ani) Powell; 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday May 17^th at Meadows Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  Funeral services will follow at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Clint Powell officiating.  Interment will follow Willow Springs Church Cemetery in Social Circle.  Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
