OBITUARY

Lottie Modena George Kirk, aged 89, of Monroe, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. She was born in Monroe, Georgia, on June 22, 1936, to the late Ethel Marie Cooper and the late James George.

Those preceding Modena in death include her loving husband of 33 years, Thomas Robert Kirk; her siblings, James Oscar George, Phillip George, William George, and J.T. George; her parents; beloved friend, Junior Brown.

Modena leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Kirk and Ginger Kirk; sister in law, Jane George; a host of beloved friends; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, on Saturday, May 16, 2026. A funeral service will follow, at 2:00pm, in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home, with Pastor Greg Baldwin officiating. Interment will take place at Campton Methodist Church Cemetery.
