OBITUARY

Floyd Haney Hughes, Jr., age 78 of Martin, GA, passed away on May 11, 2026. He was born in Anderson, South Carolina on October 27, 1947, to the late Floyd Haney Hughes, Sr., and the late Genevieve Chitwood Hughes.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louise Walls Hughes; daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Joe Galloup; granddaughter, Genevieve Galloup; brothers, Roger Hughes, Ronnie Hughes, Tony Hughes, and Lamar Hughes. He was preceded in death by his son, the late Clifford D. Hughes; brothers Henry Hughes, David “Wayne” Hughes, and Kenneth Hughes; and sisters Brenda Wehunt and Wanda Morrell. 

A visitation will be held on Friday May 15^th at Meadows Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday May 15^th at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
