OBITUARY

James “Jeff” Franklin Marshall, age 72 of Monroe, passed away on May 12, 2026. Jeff was born on September 24, 1953 in Athens, Georgia to the late Leroy Marshall and the late Sarah Farmer Marshall. 

Surviving members of Mr. Marshall’s family are, his wife of 36 years, Phyllis Richardson Marshall; daughter, Ashley L. Marshall; brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Kim Marshall; nieces, Leah Marshall and Amelia Marshall. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 18th, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Union Chapel Church Cemetery in Monroe, Georgia. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17th, 2026 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Meadows Funeral Home.
