OBITUARY

Leroy Nasworthy, age 83 of Monroe, passed away on May 6, 2026. Leroy was born on April 6, 1943 in Tifton, Georgia to the late William Henry Nasworthy and the late Lois Holt Nasworthy. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jesse Nasworthy, William Nasworthy, Wiley Murphy Nasworthy; sisters, Verdell Day, Bertha Mae Gentry, Edna Saylor, Ora Bell Whitten.

Surviving members of his family are, sons, Tommy Nasworthy (Stephanie), Jimmy Nasworthy, John Nasworthy, Bobby Nasworthy, Chris Nasworthy (Faith); daughter, April Braatz (Bryant), Deanna Juarez (Jose); brother, Emmett Nasworthy (Barbara); grandchildren, Evaleigh, Dillion, and Lee Ivey.  

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8th, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Double Springs Baptist Church in Monroe, Georgia. A one hour visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
