OBITUARY

Jimmie Lamar Harrison, of Monroe, passed away on April 3, 2026, Good Friday celebrating Easter in Heaven with the Lord, his wife, Sarah, and the heavenly host.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Harrison of 44 years on February 16, 2026, his brother and wife, the late Calvin and Dianne Harrison, and sister in law, the late Lisa Harrison.

Jimmie was born on January 22, 1943 to the late Ralph Lamar Harrison and the late Myrtice Lee Mobley Harrison.  He was the eldest son of seven children.  Jimmie was retiree of General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville, GA and Co-Owner of Sahara Pet Supplies.

Jimmie is survived by his children, Jeff Harrison, Tammy Helton, and Dawn Hardy; brothers and sisters, Lynn Harrison (Judy), Sandra McClure (Darrell), Wayne Harrison (Janet), Shelia Fialla (Vinnie), and Ed Harrison.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 7th at Meadows Funeral Home from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 7th at 2:00 PM at Hill Haven Memory Gardens.  Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
