George Nelson Adcock, lovingly known as “Red,” age 88, of Monroe, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was born in Walton County, Georgia, on May 21, 1937, to the late Myrtle Annette Queen and the late George Harold Adcock.

He is preceded in death by his great grandson, Liam Scott Adcock; brother, William Terry Adcock; his parents.

Red leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, Diane Malcom Adcock; daughters, Julie Wages (Wayne), Kelly Adcock Casper (Charles); son, Brian Adcock (Tiffani); 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Glinda Still, Marilyn Briscoe; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, on Thursday, March 19, 2026. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home, at 11:00am, on Friday, March 20, 2026, with Pastor Billy Storms officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
