OBITUARY

Walter James Criswell, Jr. age 97 of Monroe, passed away on March 13, 2026.  He was born in Walton County, Georgia on January 7, 1929 to the late Walter James Criswell, Sr. and the late Ora Estelle Barton Criswell.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Inge Glositein Criswell; and his son in law, the late Tom Blackmon.

Surviving are daughter, Kim Criswell Blackmon.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 18th at Meadows Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday March 18th at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Harris Malcom officiating.  Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.  Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
