OBITUARY

John (John Boy) Willie Sorrells, Jr., age 58 of Monroe, passed away on March 9, 2026.  He was born in Walton County on February 26, 1968 to the late John Willie Sorrells, Sr. and the late Linda Henson Sorrells.

Surviving members of the family are his fiance, Dorothy Jane Green; sisters, Norma Jean Stout (Stan), Belinda Harris (Timmy); niece, Chasiti Harris; nephews, Brycson Stout (Chelsey), Nicholas Sorrells (Tonia), Josh Harris; great nieces and nephews, Lucas Harris, Hunter Sorrells (Kaedin), Savanna Waters (Wesley); great great nephew, Johnwesley Waters.

A visitation will be held on Thursday March 12^th, 2026 at Meadows Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 12^th, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Farmer and Rev. Frankie Green officiating.  Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
