Jennifer Bates Preston, age 64, of Oxford, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026. She was born in Covington, Georgia, on January 14, 1962, to the late Patsy Eugenia Barton and the late Billy Bates.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harvey “Pete” Preston, Sr., her brother, Michael Bates, and her parents.

Jennifer leaves behind her daughters, Jasmine Parks, Amaya Pilcher, Treyonna Pilcher, Anessa Pilcher; son, Marquis Kelly; grandchildren, Nevaeh Kelly, Genesis Parks; sisters, Susie Griffin, Shirley McDonald; brother, Craig Woodall; aunt, Diane Grey; cousins, David Barton, Randy Barton, Cindy Barton.

A visitation will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Meadows Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
