Matilda Lisa Combs
OBITUARY
Matilda Lisa Combs "Lil Bit"
Born to Matilda and Charles Dalton in Monroe, Georgia, Lisa was destined from a young age to become the ultimate caregiver and that's exactly what she was.
At just 15, she married the love of her life, Benny Combs, and together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Their bond was one that could weather any storm, and Lisa's heart revolved entirely around her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life was being the best wife, mother, and Nana she could possibly be. And she truly was the best.
Lisa never missed a moment. Whether it was a school event, a ball game, a birthday party, or just a simple family get-together, she was always there. Always smiling, cheering, and making everyone feel loved. She was only ever a phone call away, and "no" simply wasn't in her vocabulary when it came to her family.
When she wasn't caring for others, Lisa found peace in the simple joys of life. Fishing, gardening, and caring for her beloved cat, Shadow. She took special pride in her beautiful waterfall pond in the front yard, a reflection of the serenity and love she poured into everything she touched.
Those blessed enough to know her were forever changed by her warmth, her humor, and her fiery spirit. Lisa was a little ball of energy and light, and that light could fill any room. While her family will miss her every single day and the ache of her absence will never fade, they take comfort in knowing she's still with them. Watching over, guiding, and loving them from above.
May Matilda Lisa Combs, "Lil Bit," rest in eternal peace. She is now reunited with the angels and her family to go before her, but forever in the hearts of those she loved most.
