OBITUARY

January 21, 1938- November 7, 2025 

It is with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Faye Nell Mull Hutchins on November 7, 2025. 

Faye was born on January 21, 1938, to Tommy and Ruby (Bishop) Mull. One of nine children, she shared a lifelong bond with her siblings and cherished the closeness of her large family. She spent most of her childhood in the Silver Creek and Rome areas before living in south Atlanta, and eventually settling in Monroe, Georgia, which she proudly called home for the remainder of her life. 

Faye married Buford Alvin Hutchins on May 21, 1955. As the devoted wife of a Baptist minister, she lived a life centered on her faith in God, love for others, and dedication to her family. Together, they traveled often, spreading the word of the Lord and raising three wonderful sons who kept them joyfully on their toes. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Hutchins; son, Tony Hutchins; parents, Tommy and Ruby Mull; sister, Katherine Roberson, and brothers, Bill Mull, Bob Mull, Guy Mull, Allen Mull and Phillip Mull. 

Faye is survived by her sons, Randy (Lola) Hutchins and Neal (Angie) Hutchins; daughter-in-law, Jan Hutchins; grandchildren, Ashlea (Chris) Mayer, Dylan (Madison) Hutchins, Jessica Hutchins, Payten (Chandler) Downing, and Megan (Chris) Hay; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann Bowman and Peggy White; and many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure her kindness and faith. 

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Monroe, GA. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Cemetery, also in Monroe.
