OBITUARY

Barbara Sue Key, age 84, of Monroe passed away on October 22, 2025. She was born on July 2, 1941 in Parrish, Alabama to the late Lowell Mason Thompson and the late Mary Elizabeth Ensor Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Ralph Bailey Key.

Surviving are children: Bob Key, Kyla Kitchens (Fred), Ben Key (Ann); sisters: Annette Pearson, Wanda Minor, Rosemary Kitchens; grandchildren: David Key (Kim), Allison Bentley (Josh), Michal Key (J.D.), Rebecca Townley (Ben), Macy Key, Chandler Key (Maggie); great grandchildren: Bailey Bentley.

Sue's greatest joy was her family. Sue enjoyed life on the farm and working in her yard and gardens.

A memorial service was held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Key Family Farm with her children and grandchildren. The service was officiated by her grandson, Chandler Key.
