OBITUARY

Larry Thomas Conwell, born April 22, 1950, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday August 6th from an extended illness. 

Larry was born in Anderson SC and raised in Madison County Ga along with his brother Jerry Conwell, and sister Regina Conwell Baughcum. Larry married Patricia Ann Dove from Royston, and they made their home in Monroe, Walton County Ga. 

Larry is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Ann Dove Conwell, daughter Nicole Conwell, and parents James T (Jake) Conwell and Janie Gilreath Conwell. 

Larry worked for Marta Atlanta in Quality Assurance for over 25 yrs. He took early retirement and spent some years at Tucker Door to be closer to home and help Pat manage their poultry farm which he later took over full time. Earlier in his career he was with Reliance and Thrall Car in similar quality assurance roles. Larry loved anything to do with softball and baseball. He was a Braves fan all the way! He was a loving husband, dad, papa, and loyal friend to those who knew him. If you visited him at his home, you were likely to get an invitation to take a walk to his favorite spot at the back of his land along the Apalachee River. The beauty is breathtaking, and he enjoyed time there as well as the beach, mountains, and any road that he wasn’t sure where it led to. That was always an adventure to travel the unknown and see where it would lead to. 

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Selena and Tim Boucher; son and daughter-in- law, Joshua and Carina Conwell. Grandchildren, Coby and Peyton Wilkerson; Camilla, Penelope, Amelia, and Olivia Conwell, Toby and Faith Boucher; brother Jerry Conwell and sister Regina Conwell Baughcum and Steve Baughcum. 

There will be a visitation at Meadows Funeral Home on Monday, August 11th from 6 to 8pm. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 2:00 pm at Walker Baptist Church with the Rev Jeff Box officiating.
