OBITUARY

    Catherine Pannell Queen, age 87 of Monroe, passed away on July 30, 2025.  She was born on May 23, 1938 to the late Bessie Edith Elder Pannell and the late William Guy Pannell.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Bobby Queen; her son, the late David Queen; her brothers, the late Guy Pannell, the late Jimmy Pannell; her sister, the late Lunell Pannell Jones.

    Surviving are grandchildren, Drew Queen (Kayley), Whitney Queen, and Alix Briscoe; great grandchild, Presley Neal Queen; daughter-in-law, Marsha Queen;  sisters and brothers-in-law, Dean (Ed) Farmer, Linda (Ben) Davis, Sherrie (Horace) Malcom, Jr., Teresa Patterson, Jane Quick; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nathan (Pat) Pannell, Sam (Elaine) Pannell.

    A Memorial service will be held on Monday August 4th at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Durden officiating.  Interment will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.  There will be a visitation on Monday August 4th at Meadows Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
