OBITUARY

J.R. Griffin, age 78, of Monroe passed away on May 17, 2025. She was born on November 28, 1946 to the late Ruth Brown Meeks and the late J.W. Dillard. She was preceded in death by her brothers: the late J.W. Dillard and the late Larry Dillard. 

Surviving are daughter: Meisha Griffin; son: Greg Griffin; half-brother: Wayne Meeks; grandchild: Katerine Griffin; friend: Renee Shore. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Meadows Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Reverend Hulon Knight officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
