OBITUARY

Billy Ray Freeman, age 86, of Social Circle, Georgia, passed away on May 10, 2025. He was born on August 10, 1938, in Lavonia, Georgia, to the late Minnie White Freeman and the late Lawrence Freeman. 

Preceding Billy Ray in death is grandson, Curt Lynch; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, and 1 brother. 

Surviving Billy Ray is his loving wife, Betty Hollis Freeman; daughters, Patsy Garner (Mack), Elaine Shepard (Eddie), Phyllis Elem, Monteia Haralson (Mark); grandchildren, Jona Cardell (Jeremy), Nicholas Lynch (Gina), Lamar Malcom, Jerrell Malcom (Becky), Sharon Jett (Richard), Eli Meeks, Stephanie Brogan, Jared Haralson (Samantha); 16 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren.

Billy Ray retired from General Motors after many years of service. Also, he was a member in Good Standing of Dawson Masonic Lodge #68 F& AM in Social Circle, GA. Being a Master Mason for 28 years.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Meadows Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, with Pastor Jerry Barrett officiating. 

Interment will follow immediately after the funeral service at Cornish Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, in Oxford, Georgia.
