OBITUARY

Teresa Ann Banks, aged 62, of Social Circle, passed away on February 6, 2025.  Teresa was born in Rockdale County, Georgia, to Mamie Sanders Singleton and the late Charles "Sammy" Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerry “Gub” Banks and her brother, Wayne Sanders.  

Lovingly known as "T-Bell," she is survived by her son, Anthony Sanders (Shaina), daughter, Shelby Medders and son Wesley Nelson (Sharmin); sisters, Mary "Puddin" Jackson (Carey) and Elaine Greene (Leonard); grandchildren, Kaylee Greene (Thomas), Emily Sanders, McKenzie Peters, Jaden Sanders, Austin Peters, LorrieAnn Sanders, Chandler Head, Kyler Head, Buster Medders, Ansleigh Medders, Lexi Nelson, Landon Nelson, and Mercy Nelson; great-grandchildren, Greylyn Greene, Gannon Greene, and Emersyn Greene; many beloved nieces and nephews.

Teresa was a painter by trade who had painted many, many, houses in her life. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She enjoyed making memories with her grandkids more than anything. Teresa loved her family unconditionally, and if you knew her, you would know that was undeniable. She was and always will be a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

A visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on February 9. A funeral will be held in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home at 2:00pm on February 9, with Brother Todd Heil and Brother Wayne Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.
