OBITUARY

Tonya Shalee Ivey, 45, passed away in Monroe, Georgia on October 31st, 2024 with her family by her side.

Shalee was born December 11th, 1978 in Atlanta, Georgia to Dennis and Alecia Nation. Shalee loved her parents dearly and cherished the memories she held close to her heart.

Shalee married Johnny in 1996 and they spent 30+ years overall loving each other. They were the greatest companions and the best of friends all at once. Together they raised children; Robert, Alexis, and Dylan.

Shalee was dedicated to being a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend in her life. She was passionate about cooking, gardening, and being near the water.

Shalee is survived by her husband: Johnny Ivey; children: Robert Ivey, Alexis Bruce, Dylan Ivey; Mimi to two grandchildren: Myles and Merritt Bruce; sister: Michae Nation; parents: Dennis and Alecia Nation and mother-in-law: Barbara Varner; niece and nephew: Haley and Mason Nation, and many, many friends.

Shalee will especially be remembered by the love she gave to everyone and her fiery spirit.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7th from 12:30 - 2:00 pm at 1025 Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm, Thursday at 1025 Church with the Reverend Tommy Fountain officiating.
