OBITUARY

Mr. Denton Kontar Mesah Smith Sr, age 47, of Monroe had returned home on October 06th, 2024. He was born on July 2nd, 1977, to the late Betty Jean Wicker Smith and Gary L. Smith. He was Preceded in death by grandparents: the late Eloise Wicker, the late George Gladden, by siblings: Coleman McCloud Jr and by mother: Betty Jean Wicker Smith.

Denton was born in Athens, Georgia and lived in Monroe, Georgia in 1977. He had gone to school at Monroe Area High School. During the time in which he spent in Monroe, he met and grew close to a lot of people but also, he found his passion and was able to get his CDL License which allowed him to be the truck driver he wanted to be. He was then employed by the US Postal Service which was the last Company he had worked.

Visitation will be held on Friday October 11th at Meadows Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Friday October 11th at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home at 12:00 PM. Repass will be held at Charlie's Home Cooking, 1113 W. Spring Street, Monroe, GA 30655.
