OBITUARY

Julian Carter Hammond, age 76, of Monroe, died on November 5, 2014. He was born in Bogart, GA on January 1, 1938 to the late Cassie Richardson Hammond and the late Irby Carter Hammond. He was preceded in death by his son, the late Jon Hammond. Surviving are: wife, Shirley Hammond of Monroe; daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Bill Wallo of Lawrenceville; Amylee and Jason Dire of Good Hope; sister, Novene Landers of Watkinsville; brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Judy Hammond of Athens; grandchildren, Jon Dial, Sam Dire, and Ellie Wallo. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home in Monroe, GA. Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
