One thing we say when talking about JW is that he was a good man. He loved his God, Bonnie, his family, and his friends. His quiet, gentle spirit and generosity with his incredible artistic talent will be greatly missed. We will treasure the beautiful bowls and tray he made for us, and we will hand them down to our family. We love you!

JW, you will be greatly missed. I have always had the highest respect and admiration for the man you were and exemplified for others ….as a man that truly lived as he spoke….a Christian man….a Family man….an astute Businessman… and a truly gifted Artist who loved all that he did. I was truly honored and will forever treasure the many gifts you bestowed to me when I retired. I pray that God will grace your family with strength as they endure their loss and that they rely on the many wonderful memories and your impact to each of their lives. I know that God has even a greater purpose for you now. Rest in Peace.

JW and I (Ed) were best friends for more than 70 years. He was more of a brother than friend. I don’t think we ever had an argument or unkind word between us in those 70 plus years. We grew up together and were almost like twins because where one was at the other was always nearby and many thought we were brothers. We had numerous hunting and fishing experiences but they were second to just “hanging out” together.
JW was the most multi-talented person I ever met or even heard of.
But his greatest of many talents was his incredible craftsmanship in wood working whether it involved building, carving, turning or sculpting. The Man could look at picture of anything then build it to the exact dimension's. It is safe to say that there will not be another JW and I was fortunate to share so many years with him.
I will miss by friend and brother.
Rest in peace JW.🧡🧡🧡

JW was definitely one of the best! I always loved and admired how he loved my friend Bonnie, his children and his friends. May it be known that he loved well. His memory with all who knew him or knew of him will last forever.
Love to the family,
Susan

I became a recent friend of JW’s and his family at the C lazy U ranch in Granby CO as I was very fortunate to sit with them at the evening meal - the day JW’s horse he was riding tripped and fell on on it’s side while the trail in deep snow. As the story went around the ranch JW’s leg was trapped under the horse but due to the deep snow JW’s was not crushed. He simply wiggled it free and he got right back up the horse, Brent assisting. All the wranglers were amazed and said that man frollom Georgia was quite the horseman. I was visiting the ranch after being a wrangler and herd health manager there 54 ½ years prior (This is where I met Deb, my wife to be - We were married for 53 years and the ranch had invited me to come and be a wrangler again as Deb is now too in Heaven, I am convinced that the Lord was truly behind this meeting we all had together. - I live in Bogart. I truly felt such a connection with the whole family and with Jesus at the center! Praying for you all as a very specialty family, that God will provide comfort and peace and understanding that only he can, and that we will all see JW in Heaven with Jesus someday. Love to you. We met J.W. a few short years ago while he was helping Mark Koehler build a cabin. He was gracious with his time and his knowledge with us all. He was someone you were destin to befriend. During the years that passed he shared his God given craft with us. Surprising us several time with what he referred to as "Wood Candy" There was never any money exchanged just a Thank You and maybe buy him breakfast. The world has lost a true artist and a kind soul. RIP J.W.
