OBITUARY

Penny Young Carithers

Penny was born on August 9, 1955 in Walton County to the late Edwin Walker Young and the late Doris Thomas Young.  She passed away on March 20, 2025.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents, the late Edwin and Dot Young; and her brother, the late Larry Young, all of Monroe.

Surviving family members are sons, Bret Carithers, and Chad (Lori) Carithers; grandsons, Conner Carithers and Jake Carithers; granddaughter, Sydney (Grady) Barfield; great grandson, Layton Barfield; sister, Linda Head; nieces, Elizabeth (Elliott) Austin, Jennifer (Stephen) Goodwin.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 19th at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Monroe, GA.  There will be a visitation at the church prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM.  All flowers need to be delivered to the church.
