OBITUARY

Wynn Pelham, age 83, of Monroe entered into eternal rest surrounded by family on March 5, 2025. Wynn was born on October 19, 1941, in Columbus, GA to the late Mary Peacock Pelham and the late James Willard Pelham. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years, Brenda Hobbs Pelham; sister, Pauline Adams; son-in-law, Kelly Hale.

Surviving members of the family are son, Johnny Pelham (and wife Paige); daughters, Selena Hale (and late husband Kelly), Christina Warren (and husband Todd); grandchildren, Jessica Pankey, Josie Sullivan, Sierra Walker, Hunter Hale, Joshua Pelham, Stella Warren, Adley Warren, Jeb Warren, Jesse Wynn Warren; great grandchildren, Baleigh and Jonah; brother, Tony Pelham: many nieces and nephews.

During his childhood, Wynn's family moved to Darien, GA, where he graduated as Valedictorian of his class from Darien High School (now McIntosh County Academy). He went on to earn his bachelor's degree at Oxford College of Emory University, where he also ran cross country for some of his time there. After college, he obtained his law degree from Mercer University School of Law. Some time after marrying Brenda, they moved to Gwinnett County, GA, where he lived with his family in Dacula, GA. He built a successful law practice and was an attorney in Gwinnett County for well over 30 years. As he neared retirement, he and his wife moved to Monroe, GA, where he lived out his remaining years.

Wynn was an incredibly determined individual who worked diligently to build a wonderful life for his family, to whom he was completely devoted. He was a loving and proud father who enjoyed watching and supporting his children participate in sports and other activities as they grew. In addition to spending time with his family, he also had an independent and adventurous spirit that propelled him to travel throughout his life. Once retired, he continued to be a voracious reader and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and grandchildren in his later years. Despite any obstacles he faced in life, he never lost his willing sense of humor and was deeply loved by many.

A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Meadows Funeral Home in Monroe, GA.
