OBITUARY

Rosa (Rosie) Emily Bankston, age 81, of Covington passed away on September 23, 2024. She was born on March 29, 1943 to the late Gennie Mae (Kines) Bankston and the late Lamar Herman Powell Bankston. She was preceded in death by her sister: the late Glenda Gauntt; brother: the late Rayburn Bankston; brothers-in-law: the late Harry Jones and the late Alan Rutledge.

Surviving family members are sisters: Louise Benton (Tyrone), Cedelia Jones, Joan Rutledge; sister-in-law: Barbara Bankston; brother-in-law: William Gauntt.

 visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Meadows Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am followed by the funeral service in the Chapel at Meadows Funeral Home at 11:00 am with the Rev. Lynn Head and Rev. Benjamin Allgood officiating. Interment will follow at Jersey Holiness Church Cemetery.
