OBITUARY

Mary Maughon Rowe, 90, of Wellington, Florida passed away September 19, 2024. Born in Walton County, Georgia and a graduate of Social Circle High School, Mary was a courageous fighter who found joy in spending time with family and friends, embracing all that life had to offer, especially if dessert and chocolate were involved.

A visitation for friends and family to wish her well on her next journey with Christ is planned for Tuesday, 10/01/2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm at Meadows Funeral Home in Monroe, Georgia with services officiated by Rev. Lynn Head immediately following at 1:00 pm in Meadows Funeral Home Chapel. A procession and interment will conclude her celebration of life at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mary was pre-deceased by her husband, Bobby Rowe, parents Edna (nee Allgood) and Foster Maughon, sisters Muriel Brown (Mercer) and Maggie Henderson ( Jim) and parents in law, Velma (nee Rice) and Weyman Rowe. She is also survived by daughters Sherrie Rhoads and Pamela Scire , son-in-law Steven Rhoads, a niece, great and great-great nieces, nephews, extended family and a multitude of loving friends.

An active member of Wellington Seniors Club and Women of the Western Communities, Mary continued her legacy of giving to others that she began in her younger years, organizing and leading fundraisers and school activities when her girls were young. Known for her kind and generous heart, Mary was quick to smile and encourage others and loved by all who were fortunate to know her.
