OBITUARY

William Harold "Hal" Callaway, age 62, passed away on August 15, 2024. He was born on June 12, 1962 to the late Mary Helen Martin and the late William Claude Callaway. He was preceded in death by his sister: the late Rebecca L. Callaway.

Surviving are Special Friend of 25 years: Greg Jarres; brother: Tim Callaway (Lisa); niece & nephew: Neely Mealor (Dustin), Clayton Callaway (Lauren); grand nephew: Harrison "Peanut" Mealor; grand niece: Reese Callaway; several cousins

Hal was a treasured and loved employee as a customer service representative of the Walton County Electric Membership Corporation; and is survived by his fellow coworkers and administration.  He was customer service representative with the following companies as well: Oxford Slacks and Eveden Apparel.  Hal also worked as the manager at Wendys in Monroe for many years.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Meadows Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at The Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Reverend John King and the Reverend Jimmy Martin officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at Phillips Mill Baptist Church Cemetery in Washington, Georgia
