OBITUARY

Louise Scruggs Knight, age 82, of Loganville, slipped away peacefully to be with her Savior surrounded by her loving family on July 8, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1942, the first of a set of twins to the late Ola Dell Williams and Eugene Scruggs.

Louise was a loving wife and the mother of eight children and after retirement spent her life loving and caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Louise loved to garden, spending her time with family, and spent hours in the kitchen cooking warm biscuits and delicious holiday cakes that she served with her special love. Louise was of the Baptist Faith and today sits at the right hand of her savior, reunited with the family she has missed so dearly who predeceased her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Grady Lee Knight, and daughters: Rebecca Smith and Samantha Knight, and sons-in-law: Mark Adams and Daniel Jackson; She was also preceded in death by her twin sister: Elise Beavers; brothers: Tommy Scruggs, Billy Scruggs, and Ronald "Tootsie" Scruggs.

Surviving are daughters: Connie Knight-Beers of the home, Judy Adams of Toccoa, Georgia, Sharon Jackson and Larry Barnes of Belton, SC; sons: Ronny and Diane Knight of Commerce, Georgia, Melvin and Deborah Knight of Monroe, Georgia, John and Fiona Knight of Farmington, New Mexico, son-in-law: Sandy Smith of Jefferson, Georgia; surviving brother; Nicky Scruggs of Gainesville, Georgia; 21 Grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren will greatly miss "Grandma". In addition she is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Carter Memorial Gardens with a reception at the home following the internment.
