Henry David Scott, 84 years of age, of Jackson, GA passed away on January 22, 2023. David was born on May 31, 1938 to the late Lois Morrison Scott and the late Clesley Scott Sr.. Mr. Scott was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. David, will be remembered as a man of many talents and a hard worker that always put his family first. He always had projects going whether it was working on automobiles, small motors or odd jobs around the house. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cruising and traveling to explore and see new sites. He loved family gatherings with his relatives and his extended family. He was a man of few words but he touched so many lives with his big hugs or firm hand shake. Along with words of encouragement, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had an infectious smile and that beautiful head of wavy hair that even drew strangers to speak to him. Most of all he was a devoted, adoring, fun loving husband, father and grandfather. He is now at peace resting in the arms of Jesus. Surviving members of the family are, loving wife of 63 years, Mary Ann Jones Scott; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Jerry Morrell, Angela Bartlett with fiancee Frank Stephens, Dana and Marty Evans; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Grady Huff; brother and sister-in-law, C.H. Jr. and Jacquelyn Scott, brother-in-laws James Jones, Bobby Jones, brother and sister-in law Robert and Linda Jones, sister-in-law Mary Jane; grandchildren, Jennifer Whitaker, Matthew David Burns, Edward Daniel Miles Jr., Amanda Waldron, Amber Oliver, Christopher Bartlett, Heather Hayes, Timothy Morrell, Patricia Morrell; eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Rev. Todd Heil officiating.
