Obituary

John Preston Peters, age 65 of Oxford, passed away on January 2, 2023. He was born on September 27, 1957. Surviving are wife, Linda Joy Peters; children, Brian Preston Peters, Tiffany Melissa Riggio, and John Kyle Peters; father and mother, Hearon Artwell Peters and Violet Joan Peters; brothers, Hearon Keith Peters and Andy Peters; one grandchild; and 5 nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Towers High School and Dekalb Technical School. He was employed as a lead machinist at Delta Airlines for 43 years. He was a very generous man with a caring heart of gold. A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 14th at 1:00 PM at the Union Chapel Church in Monroe, GA.
