Geraldine (Geri) Loleta Campbell, age 91, was born February 2, 1933, to Helen Loleta Lash West and Harold Elias West, in Detroit, Michigan. Geri's school years were spent in Melvindale, MI. She graduated high school in May, 1951. She went to Bible College and then moved to California in 1952. Geri married William H. Campbell in 1955, at the beautiful Wayfarer's Chapel overlooking the Pacific Ocean. All three of Geri's children, William, Robert, and Carol, were born in California. William preceded her in death in 2011, Robert resides in Michigan, and Carol resides in Georgia. Geri's younger brother, Raymond West, was born March 8, 1939. Raymond resides in Florida. Ray's children Tom West and Andrea West Messer, who was very close to her Aunt "Dean", both reside in Michigan.

Geri left the warm California sun returning to Wyandotte, MI, then Southgate, MI, where she raised her family. She retired in 1993 and moved to Georgia, living in Snellville, Hoschton, and with her daughter, Carol and family, since spring of 2023. She has five grandchildren living across the USA, Eric Campbell, Joshua Tant, Kateland Campbell, Victoria Campbell, and Caleb Tant.

Born with the heart of an artist, she enjoyed nature with all its creativity and beauty. Memories we will forever carry with us are of her observing blue and cloudy skies while describing the shapes and depth of colors, or asking us if we have ever noticed the various shades of green in the trees. She expressed her creativity by drawing many, many pictures of God's creation using pastels. She also taught art students to use pastels as a medium. Some of her work was featured in Ethan Allen galleries.

During her retirement years, she continued to draw but also loved crocheting and donating baby blankets to local nonprofits. She completed her last baby blanket a few days before she met her Savior, February 25, 2024.

Isaiah 40:31 was a favorite verse that carried her through many difficult seasons of life. We know she is now abiding at peace and pain free with her Savior, Jesus Christ.

"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Hebron Church in Dacula, GA, with Dr. Landon Dowden, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Geri has requested donations to be made to Next Generation IMPACT Foundation or Our Daily Bread.
