Obituary

Jerry Wayne Peters, age 79 of Monroe, passed away on November 14, 2023. He was born in Walton County on January 29, 1944 to the late George Raymond Peters and the late Sarah Rebecca Studdard Peters. Surviving are wife, Claire Breedlove Peters; sons and daughters in law, Steve and Shelley Peters, Mike and Kari Peters; grandchildren, Blake and Kristen Peters, Brandon and Brittany Peters, Nicholas and Taylor Peters, Christopher and Mary Peters; step-grandchildren, Hayden and Mark Harrison, Jackson Stowe, and Lili Huff; 7 great grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held on Friday November 17th at 1:00 PM at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev, Tommy Fountain officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St Jude Children Hospital, ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
