Obituary

Robert Mitchell, age 92, of Oxford passed away on October 13, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife, close friends and family. He was born on June 10th, 1931 to the late William Woodrow and Ruby Smith Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rex Mitchell (Barbara), William Mitchell (Peggy), Melvin Mitchell (Caroline); son, Jeffrey Mitchell (Shirlene). Surviving members of the family are wife, Mary Mitchell; sons, Samuel Mitchell (Kelly), Elson Mitchell (Gail), William "Bill" James Mitchell (Leslie); brother, Johnny Mitchell (Marge); sister, Doris Loyd (the late Terrel); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm followed by the graveside funeral at 2:00 pm. The services will be held at Hill Haven Memory Garden with Rev. Larry Carter officiating.
