Obituary

Jerry Ernest Hendrix, age 86, of Snellville passed away on September 3, 2023. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Floy Ferguson and the late Alfred Ernest Hendrix. He was preceded in death by is wife: the late Ginger Hendrix; brothers: the late Jimmy Hendrix, the late Wallace Hendrix; sister: the late Mary Vinson. As an Atlanta police officer and investigator with the Fulton County medical examiners office, Jerry spent much of his life defending and protecting others. His greatest joys were found in spending time with family, and holding his many grandbabies! He will be so very missed! Surviving are wife: Sue Carter Cobb; son and daughter-in-law: Jerry and Cindi Hendrix, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law: Pamela and Joseph Cason; brothers: P.D. Hendrix, Richard Hendrix; grandchildren: Christopher Hendrix, Daniel Hendrix, Luke Hendrix, Annie Randolph, Jacob Cason, Zachary Cason, Yadira Cason, Kevin Cason; 12 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Social Circle City Cemetery with the Reverend Adam Turner officiating. Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
