Message: Carl, Ermine, Lori andJudson were my neighbors on Kensington, Rd., Avondale for many years. I can remember the pride both of them took in raising and enjoying Lori and Judson. I can remember talking to Carl a few years ago as we were discussing Judson. I can remember the twinkle in his eye, as he told me about Judson and how he was doing. I ask where he got such a brain? I can remember him saying, as we laughed, " I just don't know, Just don't know." And, Lori was always the best dressed ed kid on the block, even when they were our playing. Yes I have good memories of good neighbors. Jud and Lori, sorry to hear of his death, and know he had a good life Come back to Avondale First,, sometime.. We just celebrated our 80th anniversary, I remember you were a big part of it years ago. We still referr to your house as The Davis House.. (honest we do) Love Annette Phillips 7568243

Message: Lori and Judson-
So many good, good memories of your family and all that we shared at Avondale First Baptist. How many of Ermine's cakes did I eat--including our wedding and groom's cake? How blessed the two of you were in the parents chosen for you--and how proud they were of you both. Will surely lift a prayer tomorrow of thanksgiving for the life of Carl and all of your family.

Message: Carl and Ermine were neighbors of ours for many years, and the friendship we shared is so very special and will always remain in our hearts â?¥ï¸? After Ermine passed away, we really treasured Carl. He was a good listener, always a smile on his sweet face, and it always was a thrill, when he would come and sit with us at church. And oh how he loved Ermine. I can picture them together in Heaven holding hands. He will be missed dearly. We pray now, Lori and the family will have comfort and peace, knowing he was so loved by so many in Monroe, Ga. Blessings ð???
Name: Jeff Hopkins
Message: C.W. was married to my mother's first cousin, Ermine. I remember always being excited when they, along with Judson and Lori, would visit us in Athens. Several summer breaks, I spent a week with them, I was amazed at his patience, as he took time to teach me to ride a bicycle, sans the training wheels. Ermine picked out is wardrobe and he always looked as though he had stepped right off the pages of the latest Neiman Marcus catalog. I recall thinking this when I saw him wearing a velvet smoking jacket, with his Initials mIonogramed on the cuff. I recall him always being kind, his words, sincere, comforting and encouraging. He possessed a spirit that put people at ease. Because we knew him, we are all better people in some way. The bible says "the meek shall inherit the earth". C.W. will be at the head of that group.
