Obituary

Lois Frances Stone, 87 years of age, of Madison, GA passed away on December 29, 2022. Lois was born on May 3, 1935 to the late Tanny Mae Brown Maughon and the late George Anderson Maughon. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Alford Stone; daughter, Frances Lee Frady; five brothers and six sisters. Mrs. Stone was lovingly known as Nanny to her family, whom she loved dearly. She loved to cook and made sure everyone knew they were always welcomed to her home. She loved to camp, go fishing, and be surrounded by family. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, because of the beautiful trees and lights. It was a true blessing to Lois and her family that she was able to spend one more Christmas together. Surviving members of the family are, grandchildren, Will Hawn, Jolene and Jayson Stinnett; great grandchildren, Joyclene Lord, Amber Hawn, Kathryn Hawn, Emily Hawn, Charles Hawn; great great grandchild, Maevelynn McDaniel; son-in-laws, David Frady and Skeeter Hawn; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Anthony Cottrell officiating.
