Greg Meadows is a native of Walton County and has been in the funeral industry for almost 40 years. He attended Gupton-Jones College in Atlanta and was the Valedictorian of his graduating class. Cathy (Krieg) Meadows was born in Culpepper, Virginia and raised in Houston, Texas. In 1970, she moved to Monroe, Georgia to live with her second parents (Bill and Myra Smith) and graduated from Monroe Area High School in 1971. Greg and Cathy Meadows met in 1970 and were married in 1972. They have three grown children: Heath and Haley Meadows, Chris Meadows, and Jake and Katie (Meadows) Camp. Heath and Haley Meadows have one daughter, Victoria "Tori" Meadows. Jake and Katie Camp have two children, Jacob Camp and Madison Camp.

Greg Meadows is the son of the late G.W. and Myrtice (Malcom) Meadows of Good Hope, Georgia. Cathy Meadows is the daughter of the late J.L. and Elizabeth (Steadman) Krieg of Houston, Texas. J.L. Krieg was an engineer laying the pipeline through the Monroe-Covington area, where he met Elizabeth Steadman in 1949. They were later married in 1950 and settled in Virginia for a short period of time before returning to Houston.

Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was established in 1978 by Greg and Cathy Meadows. The funeral home started as a small facility with a single viewing room, a small lobby, and office. Through the years, the funeral home has undergone four additions, including the expansion of the main lobby, creation of additional viewing areas, a large chapel capable of seating up to 250 people, and expanded parking area for families. Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is a proud member of the NFDA (National Funeral Director's Association) , GFDA (Georgia Funeral Director's Association), and IFDG (Independent Funeral Directors of Georgia).
